Rough Cut Feedback

After getting audience feedback we decided there would be things we would need to change this includes the whole second half of the opening sequence. This is due to it being a bit confusing for the audience but also due to it pretty much repeating the same footage twice. This looks like we didn’t have enough effort to complete the opening sequence properly so this is a main thing we will need to redo. I did think the first half of the rough cut looked really good though so this part is going to stay the same and not change the rough cut has given us a good opportunity to look back on the things we have done well and not so well and improve on them which I now think anyone doing this should create a rough cut and then go back and make changes as this will really make the piece meet its full potential.

Also what must be change when editing the Rough cut into our final cut is the dreadful unprofessional looking title they have little research done to the and so this is a big problem that needs a lot more consideration to. I think some decent research will make them ten times better and look as though there from a real opening sequence rather then something that was made by students.

Another thing that the rough cut has shown me for next year is that you must have lots and lots of footage to choose from, this is because then you can pick the best bits. Never just film what you have planned to film you should also have extra ideas that you get on the day this will often be where you will get some of the best footage from. Making the rough cut and being able to analysing it I feel is what will make the final result better the second time. So I have spent a lot of time looking at it and making notes on what can be made better.
