After we decided to change the ending of our opening sequence, I knew the music had to also be changed or I would work. After changing our opening production title I used garage band to create the right effect. the beats in the music nearly hit every letter that is placed, I feel that this is why the opening looks a lot better because the music really goes well. So after this 1 much time I created music for the second half of our piece using garage band I done this so that the contrasts in the two scenes in the opening would be different and contrast well with the character. The music for this I made very calm and inviting by using the Mac I could use all different types of instruments to get the effect I wanted. the instruments used were the some music instruments that were pre composed, mixed it to other instrument such as a keyboard and piano. This created the correct effect i was looking for.
Music
Our group have played around with the music for our move opening sequence, we used several different method to create, search and find the music we thought would work perfectly with our movies genre, plot and overall feel of the opening sequence. We played around with garage band on Mac, although the music software on this is effective and easy to use it wasn’t creating the desired effect. It just wasn’t what I was particularly looking for. We did want to try and use both of our finds but the un-copyrighted music written by … was more affective and worked with our opening sequence better the that we made on garage band. The music we found has the desired effect if changes with each in important moments I has a artificial sound which helps the scenes oddity, the pace of the music helps to build tension in the minds of the audience because they don’t know what is going to happen next. The music has a sense of suspense the light changes in tempo show how the femme fatal is thinking it could even sound like breathing as we watch her around the room an out the door. Near the end of our opening sequence the music pace changes and begins to sound more like a heartbeat, this is important because it show how the character is feeling this helps because we have very little speech, so the music is accentual to the persona of the character and also contributes immensely to the atmosphere of the location to create our desired effect. I prefer the music we have in our final opening sequence, but if I would have been possible I would have liked to mix both the Mac music and the un-copy written music by Stephan Scott. We used the first MAC music on the DVD Menu on the disc though so are efforts were not wasted.
